Hey, I'm Robin Chilton!

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) specializing in self-esteem—the inner relationship you have with yourself, including self-worth, confidence, identity, and the patterns of self-criticism that can keep you feeling stuck, disconnected, or “not enough.” I support women navigating self-esteem challenges in the context of motherhood, relationship changes, career pressure, fertility journeys, loss, and other major life seasons that can intensify comparison, people-pleasing, perfectionism, boundaries issues, or difficulty trusting yourself.

My clinical approach is collaborative, attuned, and grounded in psychodynamic and relational frameworks, while integrating CBT-based strategies, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I view self-esteem not as something you simply “fix,” but as a meaningful reflection of lived experience, relationships, and the messages you’ve received about who you are and what you’re allowed to need. In our work, we focus on understanding what shapes your self-image, strengthening self-trust, and building tools that help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected to yourself between sessions.

My work is informed by extensive experience in early childhood mental health, trauma-informed care, and family systems. I’ve served as a lead consultant with New York City child welfare services, providing clinical consultation, training, and case guidance, and I’ve worked in schools and therapeutic programs supporting individuals and families through high-stress transitions, grief, behavioral challenges, and developmental pressures. These experiences shape how I show up: grounded, reflective, and focused on what supports real change.
